Walsh Family Media and The Cool Beans are a big supporter of St. Vincent’s Services. We have partnered in the past for animation screenings, music performances and a photo shoot.

Vincent's Services was founded in 1869 as a refuge for homeless Brooklyn newsboys. This is an excellent and deserving charitable organization that we believe very firmly in.

Walsh Family Media is a growing family entertainment production company located in the heart of NYC. Walsh Family Media exist to create independent quality content that the whole family can enjoy, content that is Healthy, Hip and Fun. WFM strongly believes in giving back to the community and knows no better way to improve society than helping kids who are in need. Whether its donating time, money, or simply making a kid smile, WFM wants to bring joy to little faces in our community and around the world any way we can.  One of the main characters in our first feature film, Stylee, is adopted, so we saw no better pairing when seeking a beneficiary than St. Vincent's Services. The work they do with their extensive foster care programs ad other services is truly inspiring. Through a continued growing relationship with St. Vincent's WFM hopes to shine a light on the struggles the some young people have to endure and raise awareness for the amazing programs St. Vincent's has in place, work that often goes overlooked in a city as big and busy as New York.

As an independent animation studio, WFM has had many struggles through the years as we chase our dream of producing a major CG feature film outside of the traditional Hollywood system in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Lack of state tax incentives, limited capital and lack of experience are just some of the battles WFM has had to overcome in our quest to do something great that will outlive us all. Arriving at a goal is simply more rewarding if we know that at the end of the day we not only overcame a barrage of obstacles, but also helped out children less fortunate than us along the way.

Making this film in NYC is something WFM is passionate about, as it has served as the inspiration for so much of The Cool Beans and their world. The energy, culture and hip vibe of New York is unparalleled. The cities many rags to riches stories and the countless artists chasing their visions in the Big Apple make it the perfect place for us to produce the film. Not to mention the fact that no studio has successfully produced a widely released full length CG feature here. We figure, why not be the first?

WFM is hoping that the Its On event will cast some much needed eyes on the efforts of St. Vincent's services as well as provide insight into the nature of the struggles of independent filmmakers in NYC and all around the world. As we overcome our struggles day by day, laughing in the face of the impossible, we are reminded that in the end, making a difference in our community and inspiring others to do the same is what its all about. Its On!!!
